ProLearn is a revolutionary tool that allows non-technical administrators and users to view and manage training content. It is a combination of both a learning management system (LMS) and a learning content management system (LCMS). What exactly is the difference between LMS and LCMS? Well, the main function of a learning management system (LMS) is to manage, organize, and deliver training content, via the web, to learners in virtually any training setting. The LMS focuses on the who, what, where, when, and how of training. Administrators have the ability to assign specific training to specific users, at specific locations, at specific times. The administrator also decides how the training will be administered, its platform, and format.
Where the LMS is designed to manage, organize, and deliver training to learners, the purpose of the learning content management system (LCMS) is to create and deploy new courseware. The LCMS is a powerful medium used to help training administrators design and develop courses to support their educational initiatives. Assets, or content sections, include audio, video, graphic, and written pieces that, when combined, shape a course.

Build Your Tests / Assessments
Use our online test-creation tools or import your tests from a text document. Our learning platform (LMS/LCMS) allows you to create a variety of tests including multiple choice, multiple answers, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank, open answer, and outside event. Test questions can contain multiple forms of media. The questions can also be made available in audio format for the test-taker. Questions may contain a feedback section, randomized distracters, and can be administered in random order. Additionally, different rules and parameters can be established for retaking tests.
Reuse Your Existing Course Content
If you create your own courses, we can export the majority of the content to CDROM, HTML, and SCORM 2004 so you can reuse the content on another system.
Establish Personal Gateways
Each system user has a personal area where they can review their personal transcript, view notes and comments from the administrator, and launch tests and courses that have been assigned to them.
Track and Report
Our powerful reporting engine contains a broad array of pre-composed reports, allowing a training coordinator to review course and test progress, consider usage statistics, and more. Our LMS/LCMS also allows administrators to create custom, real-time reports as needed, using an intuitive user interface.
Assign User Permissions
ProLearn has an assignment permission structure unique to the e-learning industry. Each user can be assigned one of three access permissions: read, edit, and create. This feature gives training administrators the ability to grant learners access to read courses, review and edit reports, or create content. Controlling access privileges on the learning content management system (LMS/LCMS) gives users only the training tools specific to their job function.
Notify Users
Our learning content management system (LMS/LCMS) gives administrators the ability to notify users via email or bulletins posted on each user’s gateway portal. Administrators can send notifications regarding new course availability, course and test completion, certification status, and more.
Conform to Industry Standards SCORM
ProLearn conforms to the SCORM 2004 standards, both in course upload and course creation. Also, ProLearn extends the SCORM standard by not only allowing users to modify SCORM courses, but to republish them to other SCORM 2004 conformant LMS systems.
Create Your Custom Courses
Optional ProLearn tools allow you to author course content using any one, or a combination of tools. These tools include audio manipulation, video capture and manipulation, graphic creation, PowerPoint to Flash conversion, HTML development, easy Flash creation and software simulation tools.
Name Your Training Portal
ProLearn can seamlessly integrate your Web site and your training. For example, your Web site address can access your training portal: training.yourcompany.com. Additionally you can login from your current web page.
Integrate Single Sign-On
With our help you can integrate our learning management system (LMS/LCMS) into your company intranet. This way, when employees login to your intranet they are automatically logged into the LMS/LCMS without having to login a second time. This saves your entire organization time and energy when accessing training.

Test Pooling Engine
This powerful engine uses an predetermined amount of questions set by an administrator and then randomly selects that quantity from a test bank. For example, if a test pool contains 100 questions and an administrator wants a 20 question test, then those questions would be randomly selected from the pool. This gives a unique test to every user and more fully validates testing.
User Maintenance
Set the date to deactivate a user account. This will happen automatically based on a calendar which was defined by an
administrator. Ability to set a date that will deactivate user. This will be done by selecting expiration date that the administrator can see.
Locate any user in the system: Search criteria can be any data that in contained in the user profile (we need to make sure we can search by username)
Assign individual courses to users separate from group profile
Expire users based on date or duration
When notes are added to the user profile an e-mail will be sent with the notes to the student
User Creation
Single user code based registration: A group administrator will specify the number of user codes to be generated for a specific group. The system will print the codes out so that the administrator can attach the codes to a book, mailing, or pass them out to users who can register one time with this code. The code will expire a specified amount of time after use.
Multiple user code based registration: A group administrator will create a code for a specific group that they can pass out to many users who can register a predefined number times with this code.
Bulk Manual Creation: Create hundreds of users at the same time by importing a CSV file with the user’s first and last name. (web interface available based on permission)
